Five Beans of COFFEE.

Coffee is a very interesting topic to discuss about. I am more of a coffee person than a tea person. Coffee has the depth and the darkness which tea lacks. Coffee was introduced to me when I was very young. I have never liked milk, tea, bournvita or any such stuff. So my mom came up with a solution. She started making  coffee in which milk content was very high and coffee just for the flavour. Eventually, as I grew up, the content of coffee started increasing. Now I am more of a dark coffee lover.

"Coffee!" ..the word it self is so energising! It leads to a great world of memories. It has so many different shades just like its varying darkness. Coffee has been the reason for so many things. Now let's see how the reasons have been continuously changing over the time and other aspects like climate, friendship etc.

1. CHILDHOOD TIMES COFFEE.

I still remember those two mugs of coffee I used to have everyday. Getting up for school or class and multi -tasking to get ready on time. This mug used to be lying on the dining table, waiting for me. I never liked drinking extremely hot coffee. So my mom used to keep it on the table to cool it down. And then while getting out of the house I used to drink it up in a hurry, rubbing off the coffee moustache as I ran. The second mug used to be served in the evening before going out to play with friends. This mug usually had the company of biscuits and cartoon series. Sometimes the involvement in TV was so much that half of the biscuits would suicide in the mug. But the fun in eating that biscuit at the end of the mug was ultimate. It used to fall in the mouth in slow motion. Fun times I must say.

2. EXAM TIMES COFFEE.

This is kind of a hyped coffee. Just to keep myself up for study at night, I used to prepare darkish coffee. And usually used to sleep in half an hour after drinking it. It never worked out for me. But yes, during my SSC preparations me and my friend used to have coffee with added chocolate sauce. It was a stress buster.

3.RAIN TIMES COFFEE.

It is raining outside, you are looking through your window or a balcony, the thing which you must have in your hand is hot coffee. Sipping it and looking at clouds results in an awesome time. The hotness of coffee and cold breeze due to rain make it more awesome. Bhaji, Maggie are some examples of side dishes to coffee or chai.

4. I SMELL FILTER COFFEE TIMES COFFEE.

These are the times when you haven't really planned for a coffee but you drink it due to the inner attraction towards it's smell. Usually you find it at udipi restaurants. The aroma of this coffee is very addictive. You will encounter it, if you are walking by the restaurant. And you can't stop your self from drinking it. I love filter coffee. Even my grandmother used to make it. The whole house used to be filled with the flavoured smell. Filter coffee with some added spices was a hit at my place.

5. CAN WE GO OUT FOR A COFFEE ? TIMES COFFEE.

These are the most lovely times. To ask some one you like or love for a coffee. Usually coffee is the hidden reason for bringing people together. The excitement in holding that mug and then holding her/his hand. The non stop talks. The private zone which you create in the whole cafe, detached from the world. The sips and glances everything is so lovely. Could be a  beautiful start or even keeping up with relationship.

Coffee has been a reason for me to keep up with life. We often get nice creative ideas while sipping coffee. We can even get a good and clear perspective. Coffee has given me so many memories and it will continue to do so. Took me 2 mugs of coffee to write it all down.

Cheers!!!

A Mumbai Foodie.

Here is a post about food and people.I love food and I love trying different food items unless and until I am not eating somthing which is icky and makes me feel guilty.
FOODIE is the community I am talking about , who love food to the fullest. Some insane features of being a foodie especially in Mumbai:-

RISK TAKING:-
Foodies are usually risk takers. If you want to have somthing new and the place seems little shady the real foodie might not think twice before taking a risk. Who knows? it may give you the opportunity to discover whole new world or it may put you into the limited world for a prolonged time, which is nothing but the smallest room in your house (W.C.). In the end kuch pane ke liye kuch khona padta hai.

DIVERS EATING:-
I personally love this quality about a foodie. Foodie never hesitate to try different sorts of food all together or one after another. Its like mix and match. We don't have to be super sophisticated to follow only one cuisine or only one kind of food at a time. You might start your food journey with pani puri at chaupati , then having gola , then going to Irani joint and having bun maska and tea, then going to Chinese ka gaadi for hakka noodles and end up having caramel custard at bagdadi. Everything is fair in love (about food) and war (to get free masala puri ).

EFFICIENCY:-
Real foodie is one who is efficient in his performance from appetisers to deserts. Efficiency  may be dependent on the  metabolism,  foodie tactics (like having less bakery items, which can fill ya stomach), keeping low intake of liquid etc. After following such plan one can still be up for a paan or a juice or a malai kulfi at signal on their way home.

ECONOMICALLY SOUND:-
Foodie always makes wise decisions when it comes to money. You dont have to be rich to be a foodie. You don't always have to visit fancy places (where menu card is to be checked from the right column (rates), where you are concerned about hari patti than the dish ). Most of the times foodies are cheapsters like me. We know where to have and when to have. It's like Gelato doesn't exists on the planet except for the Pahili tarikh.
Irani joints in the town are addas of such people. You may call us chepos, you may call us kanjus, you may even call us chindhi. But we will continue to be like this unless and untill the tummy shouts.

EMERGENCY PLANS:-
There are different kinds of emergency plans.
a) After 12am eplans.
b) when you have hunger but less money eplans.
Foodie must know where to find a place to dig some food post mid night, Paul's chinese in dadar was a savier for me and my roomie for one whole year also the burji pav and omelet pav people outside the church gate stations are like gods for foodies.Bademia's at colaba is like heaven for nocturnals like us.
When there is a down hill pocket money crisis, foodie knows where to find help. It is like if you are a Candies guy you will visit Hearsch bakery instead or if the condition is more tight then A1 bakery is a place for you. Bun maska out side the station, aalu topi at sion, street dosa wala, sandwich wala and non other than VADA PAAV wala are the heros for such foodie. Every foodie has to pass through such a phase.Part of life. And in such difficult times foodie buddies come for rescue. It's like a tradition, FOODIE IN GREED IS FOODIE INDEED.

BEING A FOODIE FEELING:-
It makes you feel complete. It makes you feel alive. Hunting is what we do even in this concrete age. Foodie gathers people, foodie adds up energy in a group, foodie is an open book not only for food related info but for his philosophy and attitude. I am proud to be a foodie. More food we eat more we openup. Having a big belly can be a pride of some foodies.

In the end I would like to say that it is all about the satisfaction and happiness you get after having food. BEING CALLED AS A BHUKKHAD IS A MEDAL OF HONOUR FOR US. KEEP FOODING.

Have I made it large ?

Most of us are too busy to give such things a thought. Because everybody is busy going from some place to another. And working hard for somthing. But do we really know what we want or what we want to be. Its not the position you take or a status of life you reach. Its the space you occupy in this large world. Imagine your self as a balloon which has no barriers of the size. And it has many colours. Its you who has right to decide how large you want to be. And how many colours you want to addup.
Now remeber one thing , people are looking , more bigger you be ,more people will look at you and more colourful it gets , more people will admire you.
Dont forget to make it large and colour full.

Dark red days.

Four days before December
Regular day started for everyone....

The city of dreams was waking up,
was getting ready for heavy work.
Gateway of India
opposite to it Taj area,
C.S.T. railway station
with so many peoples junction,
Kama hospital with new born babies
Nariman house was quite as daily,
Oberoy hotel calm and clean
every one was busy in daily routine.
All things were going so wel,
there was noting to make you scared.
Four days before December,
No one was knowing what gonna happen....
The evils were comming towards city,
with negative attitude they were ready.
who were they?why they were there?
the cold dark eyes with no care.
They came and started firing ,
due to bullets the people were dieing.
They were painting everything with blood red colour,
No sensation in heart only terror.
Stone hearted evils were killing people,
Police were unable to stop these creatures.

Four days before December,
a terror started full of fear....

First time in the history of golden city,
the evils were destroying humanity.
They were killing and destroying property,
Taj,Oberoy,Kama,Narimon house and C.S.T.
The Army stopped them with great efforts,
But we lost our great worriors.

It was,
Four days befor December
we lost so many things,
which we will remember
..........................Forever

DAY CREATOR
Hey guys, some times you might be confused for nothing or confused for what are you confused for.In short you might feel like something is missing.Yeah it happens. At quite evening while you are taking a fast look at your life you might feel that's not the life you wanted to live. You often think that I want my life in this way or that way.But you cant make it in that way. Some times you get closer to your desired life but you miss it due to your surroundings. And you again come back to same evening.
My suggestion is that you should have your daily life maintaining minutes at night. They help alot. Before sleeping you should take a recap of your day and should point out where you went wrong and where you were right. Now sort out the bad patches in your mind and replace them with better possibilities. After doing this just close your eyes and build your own perfect tommorow. And try to live it next day.It helps aloooot.
And dont forget to repeat it again and again. You will rock it.
